Following the Avalanche9000 mainnet release, @BuildOnBeam is upgrading their L1.

Moving to the new model for L1s will reduce the costs of maintaining their network, while retaining everything that makes it great.

The Beam network remains their own space with their own rules. Ultimate control.

But it will also unlock one new exciting feature: Permissionless validators.
