I’m sort of staggered that we get so het up about Trump the fascist being censored by Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, and the Chinese Embassy in the US just tweeted out... well, what would one even call that monstrosity? Will there be the same censorship?
As many others I'm still working through the detail of the agreement & all the annexes. But some initial thoughts based on my first read & associated documents. My overriding feeling is that it is pretty much exactly as expected in many parts & largely a balanced deal. 1/
Two ongoing stories that are increasingly hard to listen to: people trapped in unsafe homes with flammable cladding, and people who cannot see their relatives in care homes. Both groups sound frantic and as though no one in power can hear them.
Against odds referendum win & biggest Tory majority for over 30 yrs stand as testament to Dom Cummings having a better understanding of the country than his left wing critics on here. Also think he's one of only a few on centre-right to understand level of anger w/ bankers in '08
‘Black lives matter’ is not meant to suggest white lives don’t matter.
So I cringe at ‘All lives matter’ because it is a deliberate stand against a discussion about racism.
It creates ‘two sides’ and nuance is lost. I am highly critical of BLM as a movement but this is 🤮.
