Huge news: after four years of tirelessly fighting to advance public investment in affordable housing, the Veterans and Affordable Housing Bond Act of 2026 is now in print.
We’re starting off our Tuesday morning supporting AB 1621 ( @AsmLoriDWilson) !
The bill addresses barriers to the approval process of housing developments. This is a common sense solution for timely processing so we can build! 🏗️ #CALeg
Destination: Home was honored to join an incredible panel of speakers at the @housingca Conference. Together with @CalMatters's Marisa Kendall, Mallory Lynn Hill and Residents United Network’s Miriam Perez, our Director of Communications, Chelsea Muller, shared strategies for framing narratives around housing and homelessness, leveraging earned media and authentically engaging people most impacted by the issue in storytelling.
One takeaway from this conversation: stories must lead with urgency and center the voices of lived experience. Only then can we craft stories that move people to action. #HousingCA2026
Brilliant Corners CEO Bill Pickel joined an incredible cohort of panelists for @housingca's conference session Beyond the Cliff: How Cash Assistance and Other Tools Support Stability and Dignity After Time-Limited Subsidies.
Happy Day 1️⃣ of our conference! As you all get settled in we want to remind you that we will have free WiFi for the entirety of the conference. You can find the log in information throughout the conference!
Thank you to @BancofCalifornia who is sponsoring the WiFi!
A huge shoutout to @housingca for hosting a gubernatorial forum on housing and homelessness.
Every state with gubernatorial or statewide races should do the same. Get politicians on the record and hold them accountable.
We need housing, not handcuffs.
