Over the weekend, we hosted the Annual Care Cuts event! Clients were invited to get haircuts and supplies for the new school year! There were also fun activities for the family. We had a great turnout, serving 215 individuals. Massive shoutout to all the staff & volunteers!

A National Low Income Housing Coalition report shared that a person must make $24.93 hourly to afford a decent 2-bedroom home! Everyone deserves a safe and stable place to call home, but the current housing market is leaving many behind.

We partnered with U of U Health Plans to host a Heath & Wellness Fair! Attendees were connected with health insurance, counseling, and behavior intervention resources. Community organizations were also able to provide people with phones, shoes, books, and more!

Our team prepped sand bags for potential flooding last week ensuring the safety of resident’s homes! While we’re thankful for the water, fingers crossed Housing Connect properties and our community aren’t negatively affected by flooding.
