Cowboys DC Christian Parker on S Caleb Downs:
“He's a worker. He looks for coaching. He craves that. He wants to be corrected. He wants more information, and he works as hard as he can with the extras and everything else. So, it's been good.”

#DallasCowboys DC Christian Parker thoughts on Rookie S Caleb Downs: “Premium instincts. You can tell the way he directs traffic out there, the way he reads and reacts, the way his brain is connected to his feet.”
Are we not talking about P.J. Locke enough?
Christian Parker brought in his guy. Locke signed a one-year, $5 million deal this offseason and is a versatile piece in the secondary.
The best answer is Malachi Lawrence.
Edge rusher is one of the elite positions of value, and he comes with five years of player control (compared to three with Donovan Ezeiruaku, which is also a good choice).
A 22-year-old edge rusher being an All-Pro as a rookie = 🔥🔥🔥
Just in: NFL is declining to hold a supplemental draft this summer, currently leaving the 2027 Draft as the only way for QB Brendan Sorsby to enter the NFL.
A letter is being sent to Sorsby, and to all 32 NFL teams, to inform them of the league’s decision.
The league continues to try to show it has little tolerance for gambling issues.
Sources: The #Cowboys are signing former #Raiders DE Charles Snowden.
Over the last two seasons, Snowden started 18 games for Las Vegas — recording 4.5 sacks and 8 tackles for loss.
Cowboys DC Christian Parker on Caleb Downs: “He’s as advertised. We spent significant time with him before the draft process, so we had a good feel on who he was and knew some people at Ohio State, at Alabama, in terms of how he was on the day to day that we maybe didn’t see in that 30-visit or at the combine.
“But he’s been doing great. He’s a worker. He looks for coaching. He craves that. He wants to be corrected. He wants more information. And he works as hard as he can with the extras and everything else. So it’s been good. He’s been good to work with, and I think that he’s trying to advance at the right rate.
“I think that we try to lessen those expectations in terms of what goes on outside of these walls. There’s a certain process to take as a rookie in general in the National Football League, and we try to abide by that process.”
