In Dec. 2025, it expanded “Public Health Watch,” staffing it with veterans of national elections, progressive advocacy, political campaigns, rapid response and “war rooms.”

5/ Standard measles RT-qPCR detects viral RNA. CDC says the ordinary assay alone cannot distinguish wild-type infection from vaccine-associated symptoms; that requires strain-specific testing or sequencing.

CDC does not require genotyping to classify a measles case as confirmed. PCR, IgM, seroconversion, virus isolation—or direct epidemiologic linkage—can qualify.

the second person's age, comorbidities, clinical course, immediate/underlying causes, death certificates and exact diagnostic basis.
