📋 About the Project
This project focuses on studying and combating age-related hematological disorders within the Division of Molecular Medicine and Gene Therapy. The doctoral student will process bone marrow and blood samples from mice and humans, perform flow cytometry and FACS, run ELISA and protein quantification assays, culture hematopoietic and mesenchymal stem cells, and conduct laboratory mouse work including breeding and genotyping. The role also involves bioinformatic analysis of flow cytometry, mass spectrometry, and sequencing data — combining wet-lab expertise with computational skills.
🔬 Ideal Candidate
• MSc in Biotechnology Engineering or equivalent
• Certification in Laboratory Animal Science (LAS)
• Formal training in multiparameter flow cytometry, proficiency in FlowJo
• Experience with hematopoietic tissue extraction from mice and hematopoietic/mesenchymal stem cell culture
• Programming experience in R (or similar) and bioinformatic analysis of mass spec data
• Excellent scientific English
• Bonus: CRISPR training, stem cell/cancer biology coursework, international collaboration experience
✨ Why Apply
Join the Lund Stem Cell Center with access to outstanding core facilities — FACS Core, Translational Genomics, Viral Vector Core, ES/iPS, CRISPR Core, and Proteomics Core. Lund University offers generous annual leave, an attractive pension scheme, and a collaborative, respectful research culture within one of the world's top-ranked universities (founded 1666).

🧬 PhD Position in Spatial Proteomics of Mitochondrial Disease – Karolinska Institutet
🇸🇪 Stockholm, Sweden
Department: Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics (MBB), Proteomes of Metabolism group
Supervisor: Assistant Professor Florian Rosenberger
Deadline: September 8, 2026
Duration: 4 years, full-time
📋 About the Project
Why do identical mitochondrial mutations cause such different clinical outcomes? This project tackles that question using spatial single-cell proteomics combined with an established mouse model of mitochondrial disease. The student will apply Deep Visual Proteomics — high-content imaging, AI-guided segmentation, laser microdissection, and mass spectrometry — alongside multiplexed imaging of OXPHOS complexes to (1) build a multi-modal disease atlas and (2) track how subcellular organization shifts across disease progression using deep-learning image analysis. The group sits within SciLifeLab's technology environment and is co-supervised by experts in spatial proteomics and mitochondrial genetics.
🔬 Ideal Candidate
• Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or related field
• Wet-lab experience in molecular biology, histology, and (immuno)staining
• Background in bioinformatics and/or image analysis, with Python programming skills
• Documented, version-controlled coding experience (GitHub link required)
• Bonus: deep learning for image analysis, mass spectrometry proteomics, mouse genetics, or mitochondrial biology knowledge
✨ Why Apply
Join a multidisciplinary, international team at one of the world's leading medical universities, with access to cutting-edge imaging and proteomics infrastructure through SciLifeLab. You'll get graduated independence — starting with method development and moving toward leading your own pipeline — plus free gym access and strong opportunities for international exchange.
📍 Based in Solna, within the Biomedicum research campus, close to Karolinska University Hospital for clinical collaboration.

@Faridatu001 To begin with, the church is not a museum. We have protocols for how things are done. On a Sunday service, no one would stop him from coming in to worship, movies have even been shot in this church.
Please, let’s be guided. The church has order, and that order must be respected
@themaninileife If God ever replace, it is because he never called you to begin with. He is not calling a perfect you, but an imperfect you to perfect. The grace of God is not a hidden commodity. Complain if you must, cry to God if you must, it is ok to not understand His ways. Trust God in all
@HarmlessHQ Which one is collapse structure? You guys think if we continue like this we will have a reasonable opposition? Just check the Osun governorship election, 15 aspirant, and the incumbent is there, is it not better the opposition unite, because divide opposition can't do much.
@Dihfahsih1@AfricaFirsts , for he has been longing to see you, and he was very distressed that you heard he was ill.
Phil.2.27 - And he surely was ill; in fact, he almost died. But God had mercy on him--and also on me, so that I would not have such unbearable sorrow.
@Dihfahsih1@AfricaFirsts You are right, but scripture doesn't rule out the place of falling sick, recovery and coming back. As a minister of the gosple you can have need and demands that won't be answered, and that is why our work is to trust christ regardless. Phil.2.26 - Now I am sending him home again
@irce_ihvn Hello @irce_ihvn, showcasing your incredible work out here will increase credibility and attrack more people. Currently, your target audience are not impressed and are hesitant about what new thing you’re bringing, other than conventional data analysis.
Have you ever wondered:
Why some people get vaccinated against Hepatitis and still get infected?
Why some infections or ulcers keep coming back despite treatment?
Why does HPV behave differently in different people? And should you take the vaccine or not?
Let's discuss.
@ShimmerLeRaina@globalconfy But seriously let's cut down on all this personal stories and experience sharing, in the long run in most cases it doesn't bring glory to God. Just tell people, that you find yourself doing things you don't want and at certain point God showed your mercy and help you. Full stop.
@szintri I had a similar experience during my MSc defence. It wasn't a great experience and there was no way I could convince them, owing to the fact that they don't really understand bioinformatics and they feel its role is inferior. So they ignore your field work and condemn the codes
@Jaachi_light We are all in trying times together. Scripture cannot be broken, to the pure, everything is pure. We may not all face bokoharam or bandits that will ask us to deny our faith, to some it will be life challanges that will test our conviction and faith.
@DeenRatio Kut! Lord have mercy upon us. You don't even know what the lord has done for you by you being a Christian. For God sake how can you even start defending or contending for implementation of such?
@oku_yungx Weak man? Was Adam weak for accepting Eve's suggestion? How about Abraham with haggai? How about Moses not circumcising his kids because his wife wasn't ok with it?
You see, at the end of the day, if u truly love you will be soft, gentle and tolerate wat odas will call weakness
@brotherola@BrotherPossible This is the simple, honest, gosple truth. But we are too focus on entertainment and motivation that we are not preparing an average believer for the reality of the end time.
@Preacherrapper Ok sir, the balance to the teaching of grace is 1john 2:19. You can be among the call and not among the chosen. Advice to everyone, regardless of ur conviction, I want you to honestly answer this question.
How do you know you are saved?
If you are not chosen can you be saved?
@SpiricocoNg I'm not trying to defend hyper-grace or anything. I just want to ask a simple question:
Do you think there are sincere believers suffering under demonic bondage?
Do you think there are people who have served God, given for His cause, and are now struggling to get by?
