Hello! I'm popping back online to announce the launch of my new actual play podcast! We've been working on this project for the last two years and I'm super excited to release it for everyone to hear!
Follow us at @GenesysArchives and stay tuned for ep.1!

I am horrified to announce that the children have discovered the words "media literacy" and are rampantly misusing them across social media to curry favor with the dark god, Algorithm.
@HowtoADHD When I’m creating or analyzing something I’m excited about and it’s going really well. There’s something in that about expressing myself in a way that I’m pleased with/proud of as well.
I keep circling back around to this thought that most people don’t know what art is at its most fundamental level, so they have no idea how to understand what makes art good and they end up roping themselves into metrics that limit their ability to enjoy and appreciate it
Do you think people don’t get modern art because they think of art kind of like it’s a sport? Like someone developing such a high degree of athleticism that they can achieve and display clear metrics of mastery in their craft that are objectively superior to other craftsmen?
@Hannah_illo If that sounds complicated or confusing, just being aggressively nice to yourself helps. You get a lovely treat or rest or something BECAUSE you did something and it was embarrassing
@Hannah_illo I feel the sensations generated by this in my body, remind myself that things that happened in the past are no longer within my control, try to remember that what I’m feeling won’t last forever, and redirect my thoughts to a comforting/kind to myself task, snack, or object
I will eternally be amused by people’s inability to wrap their heads around the concept of postmodern art and then immediately become depressed as I read the comments and remember that we don’t teach people what art is and what it’s for
@DimensionsInJen I could say this about her doctor in individual scenes divorced from each other and/or the whole of her run, but I can’t say that I love “her doctor” because I don’t know who “her doctor” is. Characterization was the biggest casualty of this era.
@Ztrangefolk Rose saying this makes sense because she’s supposed to be like 14-16 or something, but if that’s why they thought this line would work, the show not acknowledging that this is her wacky teenage opinion and Donna is backing her up because she’s ultimate support mom is confusing
