Llamas are used today for pulling light carts. The camelid frame can be selectively bred, over millennia, to be more draft-capable.
You're debating this from an incorrect position. Your argument needs to be about why the Andean peoples chose not to selectively breed light draft camelids. Not whether or not camelids can be selectively bred in a draft direction (they clearly can)
@outlanderagain@DuckaIII It's hard to pin down just five, I listen to so much. And not just metal but all the genres man. But Opeth and Moonsorrow ofc, Burzum, Be'lakor, maybe Wintersun. Largely melo-death and Nordic black stuff.
@TiShiawrzmn@QuetzalPhoenix@Elivyndyr It is in fact how selective breeding works, particularly over the multi-millennia timespan available to the Andeans. Llamas/alpacas etc are literal camelids, they are a new world sister group to old world camels.
@outlanderagain@DuckaIII Regarding the music thread though, I have been doing some thinking about it. I'd disregard the stoner metal recs I mentioned and just dive straight into Opeth and Moonsorrow. My Arms, Your Hearse (there's a solid recent album remastering) and probably Verisakeet.
@outlanderagain@DuckaIII The Vicissitudes of X... whimsy, arbitrary and unpredictable... probably subcon brigading... a mercurial Deity Gestalt coalescing amidst Grok's server farms...
@DuckaIII Yeah I really thought this account was nuked, then I received an email saying I had to do some things to restore functionality but when I pulled x up everything was already good-to-go.
@magicinthealps Easily lamb, but lately I've been feeling worse about eating it. I like chickens as animals but they're cold killers in their own way. Calculating and predatorial, even cannibals not infrequently. I have no moral compunction about consuming them. Lambs just seem innocent.
Eszter's all Hungarian, as best as I can find. Though who knows what melange of Germano-Slav ancestry is in there, the post-Magyars are a pretty interesting blend. Couldn't find any Hebraic whispers online either.
Northern Euro heritage noses in general are great, very prominent and proud. Cold weather stuff. My father's side is where I got mine, they're all English colonial/Welsh-Norman.
@CivicChronicle1@resurrectedruid In case you haven't considered, you might see if the vet makes house calls for euthanizing. It means a lot to the dog if they spend their last moments in a familiar comfortable location, and not the vet clinic which is often a stressful place.
