Turning a blind eye to our weaknesses will stunt our growth and development. Lean in to those weaknesses while still using your strengths as a foundation!!!!
Is leaning into your strengths while ignoring your weaknesses keeping you from being as successful as you could be? A great basketball shooter probably does not need to devote the majority of practice time to shooting.
We like to stay comfortable. If cardio is easy for us then we may ignore other ways of exercising. If Pilates is easy for us then we may ignore hitting the weights. If strength training is easy then we may ignore the flexibility aspect of exercise.
One thing holding you back from success is constantly comparing your current self to your past self. Why are you 60 trying to weigh what you weighed in high school?
Trying to do the same workouts you did when you were 25 is a quick way to visit the urgent care. Instead, take elements of what you loved to do back then and modify them for your current situation
5. Be patient. This process can take 6-12 months or longer. You have been abusing your body for years and decades and no matter what that influencer say, it is going to take time to counter it.
A big buzz phrase right now is hormone health. There are some people who have hormone issues and need to be treated by specialist. For the vast majority of us, we are trying to find shortcuts to treat years and decades long problems.
Get your diet in order and focus on the exercises you need to do in order to feel better. They will not burn very many calories but your body will thank you!!!!
The sooner you stop relying on exercise to burn calories, the better you will feel. Most of us have some type of acute or chronic injury that we need to manage (for me it is my meniscus). Unfortunately, in our quest to burn extra calories we will neglect the exercises we NEED
Without saying it, we are trying to out train a high calorie diet and we know that just does not work!!!!! Yes, exercise burns calories but unless you are training for the Iron Man you will NEVER be able to workout long enough to compensate for a poor diet.
