I read Frydenberg's speech in full, and I was hoping someone would do this thread. Several of the things the esteemed former treasurer blames on Albanese happened *under Liberal governments*.
So gross that he is doing this. So embarrassing that much of the media is praising it.
While the Lindt Cafe siege was still underway Bill Shorten pledged Labor's full support to the Abbott Govt, saying, "The Prime Minister and I are partners when it comes to keeping Australians safe".
He put the country first.
It's to their absolute shame the Liberals can't .
Frydenberg, Howard, Abbott, @sussanley, Pauline/Barnaby, Murdoch media, jump to the partisan conclusion that Bondi massacre was incited by domestic Gaza protests. Evidence indicates it was an ISIS terrorist influenced atrocity. ISIS is neither Hamas nor pro-Palestine. @AlboMP
Decent Kiwis didn’t blame the Ardern government when an Australian terrorist killed 52 Muslims and wounded many more. Instead they rallied around a Prime Minister seeking to unite not divide New Zealanders, and their Parliament overwhelmingly supported tougher gun laws.
What the media don’t tell you.
Bondi shooter Sajid Akram, came into this country under Howard, was given a gun licence under Abbott and his son was investigated by ASIO and cleared under Morrison.

So shamelessly opportunistic is Josh Frydenberg that rather than urge unity as Australia mourns the Bondi tragedy, he accused Albo of being "personally responsible" for the deaths—yet failed to justify it after Sarah Ferguson asked 3 times. Performative. Pathetic. #abc730#auspol
Some basic facts:
The father in the Bondi killings gained both temporary then permanent residency under the Howard Government
The son had his security status reviewed and cleared under the Morrison Government
Both Governments opposed racial hatred laws
Today Josh Frydenberg treated a terrorist attack as a political relaunch opportunity.
It’s one of the most repellent displays of opportunism ever in this history of Australian politics.
There's some relevant historical context. A thread.

@angelapippos indeed, did these very same people (josh et al) call for Netanyahu to resign when his nation was bombed on Oct 7......logic dictates either both (him and Albo) failed to protect their people and should resign or it is beyond anyones control to ensure terrorism never occurs
@TimWilsonMP a nation waits for you to speak out about Thomas Sewell 'confronting' a democratically elected official aka Jacinta Allan.....I mean you regained your seat due to anti-semitism, last time I looked Nazi's were your enemy
Here’s my new SM outlet. Let the crooks and grifters like Trump and his grotesquerie have it. It will soon be worth what they collectively are as far as a contribution to society- a big negative.
