Yesterday, we celebrated the official groundbreaking of Oatsie's Place, a permanent supportive + affordable housing development in Van Nuys! Named in honor of Marylouise "Oatsie" Oates, the development will include 46 units to serve women and families including trauma survivors.
Once complete, Watts Works will provide 24 studio apartments, a community room, a laundry room, service provider offices and long-term bicycle parking dedicated to formerly homeless individuals and people with severe mental illness.
Construction on the Watts Works affordable housing community is almost complete! To celebrate, we brought the team out to the site for a day of tours, tacos and team bonding.
