The UNGPs should not be treated as a public relations exercise. It should be used as a practical & credible tool for strengthening accountability, protecting rights, & ensuring access to remedies. If you have questions or would like to engage, please use the email provided.
@GovUganda@UNEB_UG@Educ_SportsUg This is a very progressive measure with potential to advance full realisation of the right to education as outlined under the UPE and USE. Let this not be a one-off initiative because it will be regressive not only for this right, but the right to health as well. Credit to UNEB!
@UEDCLTD How does your internal grievance system work? I have reported vandalism of my power equipment by your staff to your office in Kyaliwajjala & weeks no one is bothered to respond. Before I have my home destroyed by your power, soon I will make public details of the staff.
@UEDCLTD No reference number given to me & that's why I'm asking about your grievance mechanism, but I can provide the police ref if that can help.
Have the courtesy to call the area manager about this case. If it helps I can share the number of your staff members in question here...
Had discussions with select countries in Africa recommending their national action plans on business and human rights address issues of artificial intelligence, including social media. Happy that it's gaining traction.

@SpireJim It's an issue of business & human rights. I have always called corporations in Uganda to align operations with international human rights standards to avoid harming employees. Also seen an increase in cases of sexual exploitation & abuse, esp female employees which go unreported.
