The ending of TADC was much better than I anticipated and was honestly perfect for the show. While I know the show had some crap surrounding it, ultimately really great and definitely in my top 10.
Braveβs code that was references default engines shows a versioned, country-by-country default policy. Some regions use Brave, others Yahoo Japan/Naver/Yandex, while unmapped regions fall back to Google. That suggests deliberate regional policy decisions and not sponsorship based
A fresh Brave install in 2026: sponsored ad wallpapers on new tab page by default (opt out). Brave VPN, News, Talk, Leo (AI), Rewards and other revenue-milking bloat is advertised/pinned by default. Analytics and "phoning home" by default. Google as default search engine in most regions by default. Sponsored search engines like Russian Yandex in CIS countries by default: https://t.co/nCK7ZErytG
Brave has an ad branch that handles advertising within the browser: https://t.co/EwJwKKgWxq. Brave does on-device ad targeting based on cohorts and interests, just like what Chrome used to do and what Google was largely hated for (remember FLoC?). This applies to additional (opt-in) rewarded ads, shipped as part of Brave.
Brave has injected referral IDs to crypto-related URLs entered into the omnibox in the past, intentionally, by design:

Brave also uses dark patterns to drive users away from turning off ads in their browser. For example, an article linked from the "opt out" button in the browser has a wall of text making excuses for ads before the actual steps needed to be taken to disable them: https://t.co/dka1EIMtbw
kind of hypocritical for brave to judge firefox for lesser bullshit, don't you think?
@Pirat_Nation It's not a Valve L when you examine to political environments and conflicts. Their hand was forced and we either suck it up or not. "Valve should suck up the tariffs/prices". No. That's how you lose investments and progress. I don't blame any platform for not "sucking up" tariffs
This is extremely terrifying and should be illegal. Idgaf it stops cheaters. The fact it has the power to brick a device is more than a red flag to me. Takes one bad actor to brick legitimate devices. Thank god I don't touch any riot games BS
@shutupraster Left: Helium default config. Right: Brave mostly default (debloated, It's not Origin). Brave gives a random fingerprint out of the box which helium doesn't. Helium incog mode however is inconsistent. In my testing it was sometimes unique, sometimes near-unique or random.
The fact this tweet has been sent to me multiple times and I was stared down by my best mate during this scene in the Cinema when we went to watch this... I wonder what they're trying to say... π€
I understand the point, but at some stage it feels like people care more about whether character designs meet a quota than whether the show is actually fun, engaging, or well-written. Personally, I just care if itβs entertaining.
nothing wrong with fan service but it just makes me iffy that the only female characters centered around in the episode are wearing bikinis and have the same body type. are we being fr.
