I’m not gonna say that any of these sequels measure up to the first film, but they all hold a warm place in my heart!

Well, Garfield, yesterday I saw these two movies for the first time! I only wrote about one (and we’ll have more on that in a minute), but I think both of them are worth watching!
There are times when we don't get that experience (at least I don't), but it's the platonic ideal of what we all want when we go to the movies (or any show). I love that!
I also love the piano score that plays during the final part of the video. Great work by Jerry Goldsmith!
The scene that starts at (roughly) 0:55 is the most beautiful scene about going to the movies I've ever watched. It's perfectly shot, and the writing is impeccable. It does a good job poetically capturing what it feels like to go to the theater!
I don’t know why this is framed as a bad idea when it’s one of the greatest things I’ve ever heard. Even when it bombs, it’d be funny!
(Maybe I’m biased by the fact that I’m a nerd who likes acting and movies. Oh well. I gotta be me!)
Get a load of these commercials, man. When the networks felt like they had something special to show, they knew how to make it feel like a can't-miss EVENT. I love that (particularly the way Don LaFontaine sells the word "next")!

Also again: there's a scene I just rewatched on YouTube that deals with PTSD and culturally ingrained prejudice (even when you're honestly trying to improve) and does so in a really shocking, heartbreaking way. I admire Frank Oz and his fellow filmmakers for going there!
This movie was a staple of my childhood. I remember my grandma & grandpa liking it too & seeing it a couple times with them (along with seeing it on my own)!
(The title wouldn't fly today for good reason, but the movie's respectful otherwise. I think it was an honest mistake!)
My mind is blown by the fact that the Amity Point Lifestation Worker is Spielberg, and I’m not even kidding. I remember that moment and that voice sounds NOTHING like him!
Just throwing a shoutout to this craftsman-like gem of a song! It's so open and free of frills, and I appreciate that. It feels like something you might hear a good local band play at open mic night!

Y’know, I’ll acknowledge that THE FLINTSTONES (1994) makes some weird choices. The movie looks great, though! The production designers, art team, and FX artists really came to play, and it still holds up 30+ years later. It looks good on blu-ray!
