Principles for new deal
Can we have greater autonomy to adjust or amend Rxs. Eg for unavailable products. I should be able to substitute appropriately (eg form, eg double half strength, eg generic/brand etc) without need for new Rx

Nick - re COVID enquiry - can we also consider the response from pharmacy during the 2009 “Swine Flu” epidemic which mirrored much of the covid response, and see the patterns eg Antiviral supply in 2009

Question re supervision and services- what considerations are there around the use of Ph Techs and other staff? How can the issue of “every service delivered by the pharmacist” be addressed?

Question - I regularly hear concern from contractors around pharmacists becoming IPs and then being “poached” to work for the ICB or in GP practice. How can this concern be addressed?

Peter Cartee and Nick Barber are right - soon all Rxs will be dispensed by robot and delivered to pharmacies. Services are the way, and I’ll be glad to say goodbye to dispensing and hello to the patient care they’re maybe not getting in other parts of 1ry care…
