@HoyaOptimist33@LigadosSPFCbasq That would be great. I hope the answer is yes. Right now, it seems like many fans are underestimating them and don’t know how good they are.

@PhillyHoyas The AD/coaches say they want higher attendance. By far the easiest way to do that is scheduling better OOC games. More attendance helps increase wins, plus generates revenue that helps land better players. Scheduling tougher OOC is such a win-win-win. Makes little sense not to.
@PhillyHoyas Yeah, having 3 buy games this year be against teams between 320 and 360 is bad for attendance, bad for our net rankings, doesn’t prep us well, plus can lead to players forming bad habits against bad teams. It’s good we have 5 games vs good teams, but 5 of the games are too weak.
@PhillyHoyas@BigEastHoyas@HoyaOptimist33 Good point. One thing Georgetown could offer is a ton of playing time, which would be close to guaranteed considering the paucity of big men the Hoyas now have. But that’s only worth a partial discount and the school would need to cough up the money needed to land one of them.
3 / 3: The Wolverines also have the #3 C in the portal Moustapha Thiam. Chol can defend PFs, so if Georgetown can get a strong C like Thiam or 1 of Michigan’s PFs, we should. Maybe C Marcus Moller who has a nice outside shot? Go Hoyas! @BigEastHoyas@HoyaOptimist33@PhillyHoyas
2/3: Summary:
J.P. Estrella (TN): 6’ 11” | No. 23 in portal | No. 7 PF
Jalen Reed (LSU): 6’ 10” / No. 163 in portal | No. 33 PF
Quinn Costello: 6’ 10”/ No. 45 high school | No. 8 PF How many P5 teams trying hard to reach the tourney need bigs as badly as the Georgetown Hoyas do?
1/3: Do Hoyas fans think Georgetown may land 1 of Michigan’s 3 highly-ranked Power Forwards? I think 2 were only ok without lots of minutes if a natty was likely. Estrella will average about 32 minutes, so the others will go elsewhere for similar $ + far more PT than only 8 mins.
@DSeeRider@HoyaOptimist33 If we had been able to pair Kenny and Grant with the twin towers, it probably would have been another Hoyas national championship.
@BleedBlue1789@BigEastHoyas@JustinC2026 If Vaun most of this season plays like he did the last 12 games of last, then a lot of fans will have slept on him. I think he’s at least somewhat better than the average fan thinks, but it’s hard to predict when he had 1 1/2 years at below average and a half year at very good.
@BigEastHoyas@JustinC2026@BleedBlue1789 I think the recruiting websites are sleeping on Elmarko, and that’s he’s very under-rated by them. But it seems like the majority of Hoyas fans aren’t sleeping on him more than a small to moderate amount, and some aren’t sleeping on him at all.
@BigEastHoyas@JustinC2026@BleedBlue1789 Landeira. He has a high 3 point %, strong dribble drive, great court vision & excellent passing. He’s a pass-first PG, mature and experienced, tall for a guard, physically strong and can play the 1, 2 or 3. He’s a question mark on defense, but I assume he's working on that.
@GeorgetownHoyas@nyknicks@McNuttMonica@EwingAthletics The big smiles on Patrick Ewing’s face are great to see. If the Knicks owner had paid for more talent to play with him, Pat would have had an NBA championship ring long ago to go with his Georgetown Hoyas NCAA title ring. One of the top 50 basketball players of all time. HoyaSaxa
@HoyaOptimist33 Cool. I didn’t know Monica was a Hoya. I don’t live in NY and not a Knicks fan, but someone posted a great video of her and her co-host doing the last few minutes of game 4 with the OG tip-in. She did a great job at it. Very impressive to be a hoops commentator for the Knicks.
@BigEastHoyas@hoyasszn I think Caleb fits better at SF than at PF, but Josiah also fits better at SF than PF. I think Josiah can average 15 to 20 mins a game at PF with 30 mins vs teams without a true big at PF, 10 vs teams with a true big PF starter, but not the backup, and 0 PF mins vs some teams.
@hoyasszn Agree Lowe is an upgrade over Mack. Whoever is at SF is an upgrade over Isaiah. But we really need another true big who can play 30 minutes a game, and a 3rd true big who averages only 8 to 10 a game, but can play 30 minutes when other bigs are sick, injured and foul trouble.
