At #CRPF Directorate, Shri G. P. Singh, IPS, DG and the officers fraternity extended a proud farewell to Shri Dalip Singh Ambesh, DIG, Range Sambalpur, on his superannuation after 33 years of distinguished service.

An Assistant Commandant of the 24th Batch DAGO (1993), he served in key assignments with the NSG, the United Nations Mission in Kosovo, and across the country. A recipient of the Police Medal for Gallantry and the Police Medal for Meritorious Service, he also represented CRPF in the All India Police Golf Championship.

His exemplary service will remain an inspiration. Wishing him a fulfilling and healthy retired life.

Bravery rewarded

​On 11 Nov 24, when Borobekra (Manipur) faced a massive insurgent attack, Shri Vipin Wilson, AC, 20 Bn, #CRPF, rushed straight into heavy gunfire with his QAT. Despite his vehicle taking multiple hits, he dismounted, took position, and advanced alone to neutralize a hardcore insurgent. His tactical assault eliminated 10 heavily armed attackers.
​Today, the President of India honoured his extraordinary bravery with the Shaurya Chakra. Salute to the hero.

Gallant action rewarded

​On 2 Nov 2024, during a high-stakes counter-terror operation in Khanyar, Srinagar, Ct/GD Feda Hussain Dar of @crpfindia Valley QAT led a high-risk room intervention against a heavily armed foreign terrorist.
​Advancing inch-by-inch under intense gunfire and grenade blasts, Ct/GD Feda Hussain Dar sustained bullet injuries to his right leg. Undeterred by the pain and bleeding, he held his position and unleashed precise close-quarters combat fire, neutralizing the terrorist in less than a minute.
​For his indomitable courage, unparalleled bravery, and decisive action, Ct/GD Feda Hussain Dar has been conferred the Shaurya Chakra by the President of India.
