Exciting times ahead for The Hub at a new unit (just round the corner) with private training space/meeting room/sensory room. Going to need some help from@our Hub supporters and volunteers when we get the keys. #support#additionalneeds#parentcarers#itsworthit
Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay2019 one of the driving forces to the work of the hub is to provide better mental health support for parent carers. Mental health matters! Take a minute to think about your own mental health and how you can make a change for the better.
The Hub is open today Saturday 21st sept 1.00-3.00. Come and say hi, have a brew and a chat, find some information on local groups, look at the sensory resources or sign up to a parent programme.
@GemmaSherlock2 Self care is THE most important thing you should do. Recognising you are feeling that way is important. Personally I find reading/watching something and having an early night helps. That or walking and listening to music. Take care of you!
The 2019 Family Fun and information Day will be at @saltayre LANCASTER again this year. Details to follow. It will probably be on a Sunday to allow working families to attend. If@you want more info or would like a stand plz get in touch #SEND#family#signposting#support
A fab day with 27 visitors
Love how grateful and comfortable families are when they come. It’s great to see the kids playing together and relaxing whilst in town too! This is a child in a body sock under a weighted blanket. She was there for a good 30-45 mins. @StitchDifferent
The Hub will be open today (Saturday) 1.00-3.00. I have a very small number of sunflower lanyards available for a donation to The Hub / Piccadilly, MAX cards are also available for a minimum donation of £3.00 to the National Autistic Society Branch.
A request from a young person whilst visiting The Hub yesterday that they would like to learn more makaton signs. This is the sort of activity we would like to provide for people. #ForEveryone#inclusion
