We had amazing plans to transform sporting facilities in #Macclesfield and put the town on the map for sport - our vision wasn’t shared by the council!!
@HubMacclesfield@CheshireEast@DavidRutley@thesilkmen I have an email dated 2nd May 2019 that we have use of that pitch for 2020 happy to publish that too!!! In total 4 sides use that site for youth football! 80 plus kids!!!!!
Thanks for bringing this to our attention Stuart - we have gone very quiet on here as absolutely no one is listening; we have £6 MILLION ready to put back into community sport... £6 MILLION; we can save sport in Macclesfield given a chance.
@CheshireEast?
@DavidRutley?
Anyone?

If only there was somewhere in Macclesfield where this could be based full time - which would incorporate state of the art football facilities and classrooms 🧐
Cuts by government to local councils are having a huge impact on Grassroots football across the country with most authorities not able to fund grassroots football anymore https://t.co/7Nepq5vd4G Please add your signature to the other 41.682 who have signed our petition RT
This is something we’ve spoken to schools about since our initial plans; we want to help children, adults, schools, teachers and many other stakeholders to access the best sporting facilities around. Only changing the mindset of @CheshireEast can make this happen. 🙏🏼
@CheshireEast 57 primary schools and 7 secondary schools in areas including Wincle, Kettleshulme, Disley, through Poynton, Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Macclesfield & Congleton ALL support the potential use of the proposal @HubMacclesfield
Our artificial pitches would be 4G so therefore RFU compliant. Our indoor space would cater a number sports; we planned a state of the art gym, we spoke to @UKLacrosse...
The new Kings School will have a number of sand based astros to allow hockey to be played in the area.
We really wish the people in power thought the same - Macclesfield will continue to fall further and further behind in terms of sports if something isn’t done quickly.

Grass pitches tend to be used four or five hours a week. 3G PITCHES CAN BE USED 70 to 80 HOURS PER WEEK. @HubMacclesfield the simple solution...simples ⚽️ and @CheshireEast it won’t cost you a penny to build #nobrainer
💙 Subject to planning, the scheme will include a new full size floodlit 3G pitch, improvement of the existing grass pitches, a new Clubhouse with changing rooms and community facilities, refurbishment of the existing Pavilion to include an education suite and more! #KingGeorgeV
🔵 | King George V Sports Hub will be a thriving multi-sport facility for the whole community to enjoy.
You can help us deliver this exciting scheme for Chester by donating towards our fundraising target. Every penny brings us closer.

Thank you for your support. This example in Chester is brilliant; we are willing to invest £6 million to put Macclesfield sport on the map.
We’re also willing to allow local schools to use the facilities during the day to enhance their curriculum & extra-curricular provision.
Two #Macclesfield based business men are willing to invest £3 million each, of the their own money to benefit our local community - we need public support to show @CheshireEast that #Macclesfield is in desperate need of sporting facilities. 🙏🏼
