I love celebrating our students and I love that we have an AMAZING high school and community that also supports our students! Way to go, Emery! We are all so proud of you. #MakingMillionaires
Hubbard Elementary rolled out the red carpet this morning for Miss Emery Waddleton. Emery is the first millionaire reader at HES, and has read one million words since the first day of school. What an accomplishment! #ReadersAreLeaders#LearnGrowSucceed#CommittedToExcellence
This summer @BrigidKemmerer has kept me captivated! She is a YA author and I highly recommend her books (remember, she is YA, so not for my elementary kiddos). I loved Defy the Night and Defend the Dawn and I’m losing my mind that I have to wait until January for book 3!! 📕
Hope all my Hubbard families are doing some great summer reading! I just completed my summer reading challenge through @MGRLibraries and got some cool prizes. Stay tuned for my favorites reads of the summer! 📚
It’s officially summer! This school year was amazing! I’m so proud of all of the accomplishments of Hubbard students. Now it’s time to be mama. Summer means LOTS of baseball in our house. ⚾️

Lots of strikes. Good feel for spin on the CB. Clean arm action with room to develop in the lower half.

Had a FANTASTIC day of Professional Learning with @brianbuffington today! Can’t wait to share some “Buff Nuggets” with my coworkers. @mistisikes@tgs_camp @MGRESAPL
Merry Christmas from the Monroe County Elementary Library Media Specialists to your family! We wish you joy, love, and happiness this Holiday season! @mistisikes@TGScottElem
Calling all #techies! It is time to start creating to showcase your amazing digital talents for this year's Georgia Student Media Festival! All grade levels are encouraged to participate. Check out the info here: https://t.co/KfLpSdlzTc
Always one of my favorite traditions. We had 40 students (not all pictured) create storybook Christmas ornaments for library tree this year. They all did an amazing job!! 📚@Hubbard_Elem
This week we read “When Langston Dances” by @mizzkalwrites71. Students wrote about their dreams and what they want to be. Some students also recorded their responses on @MicrosoftFlip https://t.co/ff4yDAKbQk
Last week in the media center we read “We Became Jaguars.” We paired this with nonfiction text on Jaguars to learn more about them. Next we discussed fantasy vs. reality and how that related to our text before playing a fantasy vs. reality game.
