It was how to be a good cyber citizen and limit bullying and how to protect yourself. I wish more schools held classes like our middle school

@RutgersAltRoute A4 Technology gives teachers a means to bring the abstract to life and differentiate instruction for all learners. One challenge is teacher training in its use. Not all teachers know or want to know how to use an FM system, Smartboard or document camera. #AltRtEd #SpEd #EdTech

@RutgersAltRoute A3 We get PLC time each day for team or subject area content. Collaboration takes place with teachers at different schools in and out of district through technology (Zoom, Google Meets) The downside is not all teachers/schools have access to programs or training #AltRtEd #EdTech

@ELAWithMrLuzhak @ArmstrongDavine @RutgersAltRoute Our district already has student chrome books but thankfully we overcame the wifi issue by giving out hotspots to families as well. While not every district can do this, it made virtual learning much easier for so many.

@RutgersAltRoute I'm sure we've all heard the student "I don't know the answer so I'll just Google it" rather than look it up in their notes. :) Access to adequate technology is a big challenge for some outside of school. We need to provide ways for all students to complete assignments.

@RutgersAltRoute A2. One of the biggest barriers is not letting students become too dependent on technology. While it is a great tool, being glued to screens isn't a positive. I like to use it as a supplement to show students that they still can complete things outside technology #AltRtEd #EdTech
