–David Ogilvy
Most companies don’t see this truth
Others don’t heed it when interviewing customers
Therein lies your competitive advantage
7 attributes that differentiate the best product people I know:
- Curiosity
- Obsession
- Courage
- High Standards
- Ownership Mindset
- High Agency
- Cognitive Empathy
The bad news:
No one can teach you these things
The good news:
You can learn & develop them, if you want

Sure, there are 100s of cognitive biases, but if as a leader you get better at recognizing these 3 within yourself, you & your team will be better off than 90% of the crowd:
1) Confirmation bias
2) Fundamental attribution error
3) Curse of knowledge
#3 is especially underrated.
