SIK Preseason Player to Watch: Ottawa senior Aiden McCullough returns as one of the top two-way forwards in 4A after leading the Cyclones to a 24–1 season and a third-place finish at state. He averaged 18 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals last year while shooting 41% from three, adding to a decorated résumé that already includes Frontier League first-team honors, Burlington Tournament MOP, and multiple SIK All-State selections. A four-year starter with 896 career points and 458 rebounds, he enters this season on the cusp of major milestones, just 104 points from 1,000 and 42 rebounds from 500, anchoring an Ottawa lineup with all-state potential talent around him, including Jayce Mourning. “I’m excited to be back on the court this year with some new guys,” McCullough said. “We have a lot of expectations and we’re ready to face it all. We have big shoes to fill from last year’s team, but I think we’re ready for the challenge. Can’t wait to take the court with my guys this year.” McCullough also continues a strong family legacy in the program as the third and final son to play for his father, Cliff McCullough, following standout careers from older brothers Issac and Noah. #sportsinkansas
