Day 11 of immersive living: The male locals have been studying film all day for what I believe is some sort of right of passage that involves chopping things with an axe, shooting a gun and yelling into a microphone. The review is very intense and they do not like interruptions

Day 10 of immersive living: Strange music wakes me up every morning during this experience: "Then put your little hand in mine. There ain't no hill or mountain we can't climb. Babe. I got you babe. I got you babe." This is then followed by someone giving a weather report. Scary

Day 9 of immersive living: The Greeters are different than the other locals, but like the other locals, they rest about 1.5 hours for every 5 minutes of activity, which is greeting locals from other villages as they pass by our village. The Leader does not like the greetings.

Day 8 of immersive living amongst the locals: Today I applied for a grant to extend my immersive living experience. While I have not received an answer yet, I have heard that I will receive a favorable answer in the near future. I will be studying the Greeters today.

Day 7 of immersive living amongst the locals: The small female is clearly a leader in training. She follows the Leader around all day and mimics the Leader’s behavior. She even yells at the other small ones when the Leader is not around. They don’t listen yet though.

Day 6 of immersive living amongst the locals: Watched the young male local today. He apparently has a symbiotic relationship with his electronic. He always has it in hand. I accidentally knocked it out of his hands and he screamed in apparent pain while the electronic shut off.

Day 5 of immersive living amongst the locals: Finally, a day of rest from my observations. However, for some reason, I am not able to distance myself from the locals. My inaction appears to make their leader angry. Will do the same tomorrow to see if I get the same reaction.

Day 4 of immersive living amongst the locals: spent time with the one with reddish or orange fur. While male, he wears his hair like a female of the locals. Very slovenly and not currently big on hygiene. I yell at him often.

Day 3 of immersive living amongst the locals: I gave their leader my offering last night, which she gladly accepted. However, through non-verbal communication, she clearly indicated that I should still stay at least 3 feet away. I believe that she was mad at the little ones.

Day 2 of immersive living amongst the locals: The tall one, who appears to be female, got very angry with the smaller ones today. I will give her a wider berth today and maybe a peace offering of wine. They let me walk among them as long as I don’t interfere.

Day 1 of immersive living amongst the locals: I try to keep my distance to not startle anyone. So far they are living their normal lives like I am not there unless I get between them and electronics. I have to be careful until they fully accept me as one of them.
