The Huebner library added nearly 1,500 books to students' home libraries this month! Between the Book Swap, ComiCon and Book Vending Machine, Huskies got new books to read this summer!

We are hosting a Book Swap for Summer Reading! Students are invited to bring in 1 or 2 gently read books to the library during the week of May 5th. All students (even if they don't contribute a book) will be able to pick 1 or 2 to add to their home libraries the week of May 12th.

The Salty Story (a hip new seafood restaurant with a book twist) opened in the library! 5th graders had to figure out customer's orders based on the genre of book they like best. What an engaging way to review types of books in our novel area.

2nd graders learned about Helen Keller and how blind students read using braille. They then had an opportunity to write their name in braille using raised gemstones. Great lesson for Women's History Month!
