If parliament approves it, this would be Seoul’s first overseas military deployment at Washington’s request since it sent troops to Iraq in 2004.

South Korea gets most of its oil through the waterway, while Iran has warned that any country operating there would be treated as backing the U.S.

🇺🇸🇯🇴 A U.S. official says all troops in Jordan are accounted for as reports claim wounded Americans were flown to Germany

Jordan says its defenses intercepted 18 of 20 Iranian missiles aimed at Al Azraq, with two landing in unpopulated areas and no casualties.

The U.S. official's statement to Reuters followed a report from a Jordanian source to Saudi-owned Al-Arabiya, via NAYA, that a large number of injured American soldiers were flown to Ramstein Air Base with some in life-threatening condition, naming Azraq and a second base at Mafraq.

The Pentagon has not addressed it directly.

🚨 Breaking: Iran has launched what IRGC-linked outlets describe as its largest missile barrage since the 40-day war, targeting U.S. military positions in Jordan.

Videos from Jordan show projectiles overhead. Iranian outlets claim cluster munitions were used and that Muwaffaq al-Salti Air Base in Zarqa governorate was targeted.

No impacts or casualties have been independently confirmed yet.

BIG: US military and intelligence officials are quietly discussing cutting forces in the Middle East once the Iran war ends.

The CIA's Riyadh outpost was "effectively destroyed."

Bases in Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait have all been hit.

The Navy's top admiral said troops won't return to Bahrain "anytime soon."

Some officials are considering whether sensitive missions can be done without permanent bases — fly in, execute, fly home.

The Pentagon may simply not rebuild some destroyed facilities.

One comptroller said rebuilding depends "on how we decide to rebuild those, or if we do."

There's no formal review order — officials are trying to anticipate a president known to change his mind quickly.

NEW: Volkswagen is selling its Osnabrück plant to become an Iron Dome production hub.

A consortium of Lower Saxony, investor Aurelius, and Israel's Rafael will convert the factory into a defense center making transport trucks, launchers, and generators for the Iron Dome system.

The deal was structured to bypass VW shareholder Qatar, which had blocked an earlier VW-Rafael joint venture.

The plant currently builds T-Roc Cabriolets with 2,300 workers; car production ends in 2027.

Still a letter of intent, not final.
