@katie_pilot I suffered one sided hearing loss at 12. Ruined dream of being a pilot. The surgeon laughed when I asked if there was any hope. 47 now and just discovered I could get a medical with a hearing aid. Angry at myself for not investigating further at the time.

The airline industry was around 50 years away so, ships were still the primary transport and as such were not an entertainment palaces that you have now. Just liners

@DogsbodyTech An ideal world suggests any IT department should always work to a +five year plan. In reality, that’s less likely due to - mostly - financial considerations. So many variables to consider.
