There is a real nasty turn on the anti-cogovernance that personally I will not be a part of.

I am a Maori who is against co-governance but the more comments i read from those in this community, the less inclined I feel to support this move since below it are undertones of racism.

The comments i have read include:
- comments about Maori being ‘stupid’ and ‘uncivilised’ pre-colonisation
- comments about cultural differences and making fun of cultural protocols
- comments about Maori not belonging to New Zealand or anywhere.
- comments about moriori being indigenous to nz not Maori (they settled in chatham islands not NZ mainland and are more of a Maori tribe than a seperate people).
- comments about Maori being “dole bludgers and criminals”
- negative comments about the language and pushing to have the language eradicated again.

You talk about the racial divide yet you allow racism amongst yourselves because deep down, you agree. Time to look in the mirror and genuinely ask yourself if you bought into racism.
