If you saw the cases that come before the courts in which people have been killed by exhausted HGV drivers, you would not be so joyously carefree about extending the rules on drivers’ hours.
They exist for a reason.

Bereaved people have to battle a system of denial & delay, which adds another layer of trauma. We must see more accountability in this case, alongside broader strengthening of the duty of candor on care professionals to enable justice and change.
