@DalOBrien Yes, along with all other Ag inputs. We have an economic policy that keeps food (and now fuel) very reasonably priced and does it safely. It’s not perfect but the stability of the last 20 years says it’s working. Guess we are about to see how it stands up to inflation vs ‘80s.

@Atticus59914029 Same same. There are still good folks in the GOP but they are cowering to Trumpism. I’m conservative moderate and not comfortable with the direction of either party. Keep hoping I’m not alone.

@jamesdecker2006 You are correct, but the “food system is broken” crowd who wants to stir the pot is biting the hand that feeds them. Honest discourse on both sides would be helpful but we don’t do that on this country any more. We just cast stones.

@TamarHaspel Absolutely true. Also true that likely the biggest driver in cost of production increases in dirt farms is also energy. There is a lot of diesel fuel expended to get from a seed to your dinner table.

@OAcotton Particularly in cotton domestically NASS needs a reboot. They are not only wrong, they could care less about being right. The data exists to track bales accurately with minimal difficulty. @HouseAgGOP needs to hold them accountable.
