While Australians are in the middle of a cost of living crisis and struggling to pay their mortgage, they are being forced to lock away 12% of their weekly pay.

I’m not calling for an “end” to compulsory super as the media has falsely claimed. But Australians should be able to access their money more easily if they need it for a house, medical needs or other costs.

Your superannuation belongs to you. It does not belong to the government and it does not belong to the super funds.

FREE KYLEE ROBINSON! AUSTRALIAN HOMEOWNER LOCKED UP AFTER ALLEGEDLY FIGHTING BACK

52-YEAR-OLD KYLEE ROBINSON IS BEHIND BARS IN AUSTRALIA — AFTER ALLEGEDLY CONFRONTING MEN SHE BELIEVED HAD STOLEN FROM HER.

The NDIS support worker allegedly discovered a man inside her shed at her home in Raymond Terrace, New South Wales, before confronting him with a baseball bat.

Police allege Robinson then chained and padlocked the man by the neck and forced him to take her to a nearby camp where she believed more of her belongings had been taken.

She is then accused of assaulting two other men with the bat and smashing a car windscreen while trying to recover her property.

A 44-year-old man was later treated in hospital for facial injuries.

Robinson handed herself in to police the following day and has been charged with kidnapping with intent to cause actual bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and being armed with intent to commit an offence.

She has been refused bail and remains behind bars, with her next court appearance listed for September 30.

She has not entered a plea and the allegations have not been proven.

But this case raises a serious question:

WHEN CRIMINALS COME ONTO YOUR PROPERTY AND STEAL FROM YOU, DO ORDINARY PEOPLE HAVE THE RIGHT TO DEFEND THEIR HOME AND BELONGINGS?
