@davidjamesdj@ASo1omons Elvis liked it cold!
I do too.
Sharon has to wear a coat in the car in the height of continental European summers when we're on long trips.
It's only 13C right now outside, but the sun's heating the living room, so the ACs on.
I don't open windows π
We bought our first 3 in the first covid lockdown.
So it was a long time until we could go anywhere. But when we did it became the best family car for day trips out, short breaks away, and longer holidays driving around Europe.
We've never had a problem getting things loaded in the car, there's a lot of space, a lot! Yes the lack of a hatchback poses challenges at times, but we've always made it work.
We're now on our second 3, and once the 0% finance is up, we'll be paying it off, and keeping it.
I still look at it, and think that's a nice looking car.
Yet looks aside, it's leaps ahead of any other EV competition.
@veryfathomer Myself included, I'm certainly not a racist, there's a single human race.
But it's bizarre to watch the changing face of the ethnicity of the city.
@Brian70362077@Tedisiek@veryfathomer It is most shocking to see, particularly here in Hull, which as you know has had an indigenous population hardly changed for centuries, mainly owing to geography, and industry that was served by the local population.
π Indeed, I can well imagine how that grates! Dear me, you've a British passport!
Hull unlike many northern cities in say West Yorkshire, and Lancashire has never really had any large groups of foreign born residents, being geographically at the end of the line, the end of the M62.
If this is being replicated up, and down the country, then anecdotally that must be a huge increase in population.
As a child in the 70s I enjoyed watching The Good Life, it was wholesome family viewing.
As an adult watching repeats in the 90s, I was aware of the "Dad interest" in Felicity Kendal π
But watching those repeats, I was taken back by how attractive Margo was, something that had past me by, obviously as a young child.
She was a handsome woman.
@psbroke@vitt2tsnoc π Maybe we're jealous!
If maybe I'd never had a holiday, never taken the family around the world, maybe then I could've afforded to retire at 60, but that's thousands of pounds saved, not a few quid in sarnies!
But dear me, what a dull unfulfilled life that would've been!
π That fits!
The planes were literally falling to pieces, and it is no exaggeration to say that going out they had a maintenance guy duck taping seats down!
That, and being deboarded LAX to Manchester.
Totally fobbed off on legitimate compensation for six months.
After emailing the CEO recently we finally got the money!
Never again.
@FacelessFreebie@Jolly_Rancher I can't say I really know π
Medicine too, I remember buying the kids a liquid antihistamine when they were young across in the US, and that was grape flavour π
Really just not a thing here.
@graeme_cobb@vitt2tsnoc You'd think a sandwich, give or take on the filling, was a healthy option.
Got to say calories aside, I never look at the ingredients on a shop bought sandwich π₯ͺ
@Lockwood1984 @thehonestletter πππ
I really irritate my Wife, because I'll only pay so much for a t-shirt, or a pair of shoes, and she'll tell me that prices have gone up since we met 20 years ago! π
