FBA supports an inclusive Afghan peace process. The increase in attacks on civil society is an impediment to genuine peace. The loss of journalist and peace activist Malala Maiwand has left us deeply saddened. The diversity of voices must not silence @AMIP_AFG @EuApsm @Sida

The third journalist attacked in this way in one month and one in a series of peace activists being targeted for raising their voice and the voices of others. A loss not only to the friends and family of Ms. Maiwand but to everyone aspiring for peace in Afghanistan.

Peace negotiation btw AFG gov & Taliban is unpresedented in the history of AFG. As the peace negotiation has started, Sweden would like to see Afghans developing this mechanism & amplifying the peace process engagement.
