[Excerpts] "The EXO we loved, the youth we continue to love"
If someone asked me to name the team I've loved the most in my life, it would undoubtedly be EXO. Time has passed, and I may now be supporting another team, but it's a far cry from the pure dedication I poured into EXO back then. Perhaps, at the same time as we loved EXO, we also loved the youthful, passionate days when we could be madly immersed in something.
EXO's appearance on stage solely for their fans instantly filled the hearts of the Gocheok Sky Dome audience with a silver glow. The hit medley of Monster, The Eve, Love Shot and Growl transcended mere performances, becoming a moment of immense unity. As the intro began, the countless audience members seemed to forget who they were fans of. The sight of everyone who remembered EXO's heyday singing along in unison was a thrill in itself. It was a moment that confirmed just how deeply EXO's music had shaped an era of KPop and how deeply their songs were etched in the public's memory.
What made this performance so special was that EXO's songs transported the audience to a sense of time travel. Whether we were avid EXO fans or not, we all lived through those times listening to EXO's music. Therefore, the chorus that filled Gocheok Sky Dome was more than just a simple response. It was a ritual, a way to recall a page from their most intense and passionate youth. Seeing EXO still commanding the stage with unwavering vigor, the audience felt an indescribable sense of comfort and support, as if they were reaffirming that their youth has not faded but is still shining brightly.
Yet the emotion did not end with nostalgia. The unwavering skill displayed in their new song Back It Up and the seasoned confidence from their 14-year career proved that they were not merely a "glory of the past" but rather a "living legend", still standing at the forefront of KPop.
What was particularly striking about the performance were the members' facial expressions. Their sweat-soaked faces, smiling at each other and their sparkling eyes gazing at their fans were free of any trace of anxiety. The sheer joy of simply standing on stage as "EXO" was palpable, translating even beyond the screen. It was a moment when I realized that what had kept EXO together through countless hardships was the members' unwavering sincerity, their unwavering refusal to let go of the team.
They say you have to speak to be understood, but some sincerity leaves a deeper mark through actions rather than words. Who wouldn't feel EXO's sincerity while watching the MMA 2025 stage? It was a testament to how hearts can connect without words. This performance made the weight of that truth loud and clear.
We express our gratitude to the members who continue to protect the name of EXO. As long they uphold the name "EXO" and stand on stage, both EXO and our youth will never truly end. This is why we wholeheartedly support EXO’s "reverse" as they prepare to soar once again in 2026.
