Three years ago, @Dadkurt joined us to discuss parenting a child with Down syndrome.
In the US, nearly 70% of children prenatally diagnosed with Down syndrome are killed by abortion.
With this topic in the news again, we wanted to reshare his story: https://t.co/2NRLgqy79W
They’re also WAY happier than the general population:
“Among those surveyed, nearly 99% of people with Down syndrome indicated that they were happy with their lives; 97% liked who they are; and 96% liked how they look. Nearly 99% people with Down syndrome expressed love for their families, and 97% liked their brothers and sisters.”
Given the amount of prescribed SSRIs and mental health issues plaguing our world right now, it’s incredible that the stats are this high for people with Down syndrome.

I have been around Downs Syndrome folks my entire life. I have an older brother with Downs Syndrome. He is the star of our family (including extended family and local community).
The love of life and sweetness in Downs Syndrome people is unmatched.
A terrible grave evil was done by not giving this dignified precious child a chance at life.
The message being sent is unmistakable:
If your child is healthy, wanted, and convenient, he deserves protection.
If your child has Down syndrome, he can be deemed unworthy of life.
An innocent child was killed because he had an extra chromosome.
That is discrimination in its most lethal form.
Faustine Mwizarubi - Tanzania
“I will use the knowledge I have obtained to educate others.” 🙏
Faustine Mwizarubi, after participating in Human Life International training in Tanzania, shared his commitment to bring what he has learned into active pastoral practice — teaching others, developing human sexuality programs grounded in Catholic teaching, and advocating for laws that support life.
Your support helps form priests who don’t only receive pro-life formation, but put it into action in their communities, parishes, and nations. ❤️
A woman shared her abortion regret to r/ProLife on Reddit after taking the first abortion pill at 9 weeks.
The comments flooded in about Abortion Pill Reversal, and her baby survived!
BREAKING: Kenya's Court of Appeal rules that abortion violates the child's right to life and overturns the decision of a rogue judge who had tried to legalise abortion!
This is a HUGE win in one of Africa's biggest legal cases ever.
Congratulations Kenya!

A week at the UN
We showed up, spoke up, and delivered two statements—including one for Human Life International.
No outcome document—because some countries refused a neutral text.
The pro-life voice isn’t going anywhere.

Coming from an evangelical background, I always thought the Augustinian tradition on sexuality—and Humanae Vitae in particular—was prudish, overly restrictive, and out of touch. It seemed like the Church was policing something that didn't need policing.
Then I spent years prosecuting sex crimes.
What I saw was the full downstream consequences of a culture that had systematically detached sexuality from its proper context, from permanence, from fidelity, from openness to life, from the dignity of the other person. The people I prosecuted weren't monsters who appeared from nowhere. They were the products of a logic that, followed to its end, produces exactly what Paul VI warned it would produce in 1968: the reduction of the human person to an object of use.
Humanae Vitae reads differently when you've seen what it's describing. The document isn't prudish; it's prophetic.

The story of Noelia Castillo Ramos has brought renewed attention to the debate over euthanasia.
Her situation highlights the difficult reality many face when suffering seems overwhelming.
But compassion should never mean ending a life.
Every person has inherent dignity, and society's response to suffering should focus on care, support, and accompaniment.
This article covers four key reasons why euthanasia is wrong, even from a non-religious perspective: https://t.co/feLBnqEUEJ
