How has this practice allegedly continued for years without scrutiny? Why has no inquiry been initiated? Why has no authority investigated whether these collections are legal or illegal?

Has the Government of Arunachal Pradesh issued any official order authorizing the collection of such fees? If yes, where is the notification? What are the approved rates? Is there any fixed government schedule prescribing charges for each file, service, or signature?

At the EAC Office, Itanagar, it has reportedly become a routine practice that payments are demanded for processing files and even for obtaining individual signatures. If such collections are officially authorized, the public deserves complete transparency.
