For many Americans, their values— and their votes—are shaped by their faith. For the millions of us who are nonreligious, our values are guided by our faith in humanity.
Here’s how we’re voting this November. #humanism
The fight to represent and protect humanist, secular and atheist values continues every day and at every level of government. Join our efforts by following @SecularDems!
"From @americnhumanist: #Humanism is a ""philosophy of life that, without theism or other supernatural beliefs, affirms our ability and responsibility to lead ethical lives of personal fulfillment that aspire to the greater good.""
Are you a humanist?

Every student deserves to feel safe and welcome in the classroom. Our LGBTQI+ youth deserve to be affirmed and accepted just as they are. My Administration will continue to fight for dignity and opportunity for every student and family — in Florida and around the country.
Unemployment tracking imperfectly accounts for the experiences of care workers and other unpaid labor, but this is still a powerful accomplishment from the @JoeBiden administration.
Today, we learned that in February, the unemployment rate fell to 3.8% — down from 6.4% when I took office.
That’s the fastest decline in the unemployment rate in recorded history.
Thanks to dedicated everyday #humanist heroes like Matthew DeGrave, we’re confidently looking ahead at the work that needs to be done to ensure a better life for future generations and not letting our challenges block our view.

Earlier this month @POTUS signed the Ending Forced Arbitration of Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment Act of 2021 into law. We applaud the president for prioritizing the safety and autonomy of all citizens.
I signed the Ending Forced Arbitration of Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment Act of 2021 into law. This is a momentous day for justice and fairness in the workplace. For those who experience sexual harassment or assault, you have a right today that you did not have yesterday.
The Governor implies "that his identity as a Christian is an important part of his role as a government leader and that he favors 'Christian values' in his appointees. [...] how are we to trust that he will actually treat nominees equally"

Judge Jackson is the daughter of former public school teachers, a proven consensus builder, an accomplished lawyer, and a distinguished jurist. I was proud to make this call.
The @January6thCmte hearings will expose each level of the assault against the peaceful transfer of power on Jan. 6. If democracy is to survive and grow, Americans need to know the truth about the seditious conspiracies and violence that nearly overturned the will of the people.
I am profoundly disappointed that the Senate has failed to stand up for our democracy. I am disappointed — but I am not deterred.
We will continue to advance necessary legislation and push for Senate procedural changes that will protect the fundamental right to vote.
If we just move on and ignore what caused the January 6th Attack in the name of unity, the violence will only get worse.
We have an obligation to hold those who sought to overthrow our democracy accountable, and we can’t stop working to save our country until we’ve done so.
From @jimwallis: "The ideology of this coup is indeed that white Christian nationalism—which is really an offense against God."
To protect our democracy, we need Christian leaders like Rev. Jim Wallis to recognize and condemn white Christian nationalism.
My interview with @adrianflorido of @npratc on how we should remember January 6, and why the coup attempt was revealing in a very powerful and painful way

"This is not a land of kings or dictators or autocrats. We’re a nation of laws; of order, not chaos; of peace, not violence.
Here in America, the people rule through the ballot, and their will prevails."

You can’t love your country only when you win.
You can't obey the law only when it's convenient.
You can't be patriotic when you embrace or enable lies.
From @robertpjones: "On Jan. 20, 2021, President Joe Biden became the first commander in chief to use the words 'white supremacy' in an inaugural address.
He called out white supremacy as a 'domestic terrorism that we must confront, and we will defeat.'"

"It’s an opportunity to rejoice around the positive human values of reason, compassion, and hope." #humanism
As we celebrate the 20th anniversary of HumanLight today, we invite you to learn more about this secular holiday!

"Humanism is the unvarnished trust in oneself and our fellow humans to be kind and good to each other for the sake of the NOW. To trust science and exploration. A trust in human rights and equal rights for every person on the planet." #humanism

"Why the militant opposition among right-wing Christians, who can surely hold on to their ultra-conservatism while accepting the efficacy of modern medicine?"
We must address the relationship between anti-vaccination movements and Christian nationalism.

"With its notions of white identity, racial superiority, fear of immigrants and its traditional Christian beliefs, white nationalism is also profoundly anti-Jewish."
White #ChristianNationalism is a threat to the religious freedom of all faiths and none.
