Hawaii, you exceeded every expectation. πΊ
When HumanizeHer was founded, the dream was to create spaces where women could walk in as strangers and leave as collaborators, champions, and community. Last weekend at Shangri La Museum of Islamic Art, Culture & Design in Honolulu, that dream became real in the most beautiful way.
Our first Hawaii launch brought together some of the most extraordinary women leaders and changemakers on the island β and what unfolded was something we couldn't have scripted. Raw conversations about leadership, entrepreneurship, and what it really means to build something meaningful. The kind of dialogue that doesn't end when the event does.
A heartfelt mahalo to the Shangri-La Museum and the Doris Duke Foundation for opening their doors and holding this space with us β and a special shoutout to Leilani Farinas for being the heart behind making this partnership a reality. Your vision and generosity made all the difference. π€
And to our incredible panelists β Dawn Lippert, Meli James, and Chenoa Farnsworth β thank you for your honesty, your vision, and your generosity of spirit.
But this community deserves its own moment. This all started with a single LinkedIn post asking for help building something meaningful in Hawaii. You all showed up and delivered beyond anything we could have imagined. Arleen Fernando, Cerell Rivera, and so many more too many to mention β thank you. You know who you are. π€
And to the HumanizeHer crew who crossed an ocean to be there in person β with 8 bags of gear in tow β that means everything. You didn't just support this, you made it real. π Erica Lockheimer Elizabeth Wendorf-Bloesser Becky Davis Jazmine Orozco Lugo Kristen Basile West Ash Blodgett Nathalie Rodriguez and Alina Tyulyu - photo credits.
The conversations from that evening are already turning into partnerships, collaborations, and next steps. That's the power of bringing the right women into the same room.
And this is just 1 of 100 photos and videos and 4 podcasts coming your way. Wait for it and subscribe to get notified. π
This is just the beginning of HumanizeHer in Hawaii. πΊ

Parisa has been at Google for nineteen years - nearly her entire career. She started out as a "hired hacker" on the security team, back when she wasn't even sure engineering was right for her. She got hacked in college, and turned that experience into a career protecting the entire web. Why do we always wait for a crisis to talk about the things that matter most? π
Mandy McClung, Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, shares this crucial reminder: the absolute worst time to try to map out a legal roadmap, secure a power of attorney, or sort out your financial assets is when you are already in the middle of a tragedy.

Do your loved ones know where your assets are, or would they be left stranded if something tragic happened?
In this eye-opening clip, Mandy McClung, Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, breaks down why facing this heavy topic head-on is the ultimate act of protection. It goes far beyond just passing down money - itβs about establishing a Power of Attorney before a crisis hits.
If you are ever incapacitated or unable to make decisions, you need someone legally designated to step in, navigate the legal system, manage your accounts, and protect your estate when you can't. π
Assuming "it won't happen to us" only leaves families vulnerable to absolute chaos when grief and money collide. π The best time to map out these critical decisions is right now while you are calm and clear-headed - not in the middle of an emergency.
