Last week we unveiled our Red Wheel, marking Humber Enterprise Park as a site of transport heritage.
The plaque marks the work of aviation pioneer Robert Blackburn carried out at Blackburn Aircraft Factory - one of the oldest surviving sites of aircraft manufacture 🛩
A @TransportTrust Red Wheel has today been unveiled outside the Humber Enterprise Park in Brough - marking the site’s importance in the country’s aviation history. The first aeroplanes were built here in 1916 by Robert Blackburn. Today his daughter & grandson unveiled the plaque.
Thanks to @DaveHarrisonBBC from @RadioHumberside for coming along and having a chat with Robert’s daughter Janie Rayne live for Burnsy’s morning breakfast show
