To those who say "it's her choice" I used to say the same thing about my own Hijab.

I was covered head to toe. Even on the beach. Even with my male relatives. And when people challenged me, I said: this is my choice. You know why? Because the other option was burning in hell, hung by my hair for eternity. That's what they taught me since childhood.

Yes, let me repeat it for you to just understand about our version of “freedom of choice.” I grew up in an Islamist culture that gave me two options. Cover yourself and go to heaven. Or don't cover, and be hanged by your hair and burned in hell.

Like when someone puts a gun to your head and says "you can go left or right", technically, yes, that's a choice.

I picked heaven. I called it freedom. And I believed it, because that's what happens when fear is all you've ever known.

And if you think I shouldn't be telling you my story, I don't care. I really, genuinely, from the bottom of my heart, don't care. The women still living under that "choice"? I care about them.

CONTROVERSIA EN LA OLIMPIADA DE CONOCIMIENTO INFANTIL

Resulta que en la Olimpiada del Conocimiento infantil 2026 el género ya vale e importa más que el mérito.

Así es, hay una fuerte controversia en redes sociales, pues si en esta olimpiada, un niño y una niña empatan, el primer criterio de desempate es el género, dándole la victoria a la niña solo por ser niña

Pero esa no es toda la controversia, ya no importa quiénes hayan obtenido mayor puntaje, el 50% de las ganadoras de las becas deben ser niñas sí o sí, no importa si los varones obtuvieron mas puntos

Si 2 pequeños obtuvieron la misma puntuación y demostraron exactamente el mismo conocimiento uno perderá la oportunidad solo por ser niño

In Dante's Inferno, people who were neutral in life are treated just as harshly as those who sinned.

These are the "uncommitted" who chose no side. They are rejected by both Heaven *and* Hell.

Lukewarm souls are made to wait forever in the "Vestibule of Hell". They're stung by wasps while they run around in pursuit of a meaningless white banner (in punishment for standing beneath no banner in life).

Even worse, their blood and tears flow from their faces onto the ground to be consumed by maggots. Why?

In Christianity, Christ's blood is shed for man's salvation, and the blood of the martyrs is considered the seed of the Church. To bleed — whether literally or metaphorically — for a worthy cause is a great act of love.

But in the case of the lukewarm, their blood merely feeds maggots. "You shall know them by their fruits," Christ says, but the only "fruit" the lukewarm produce is nourishment for worms.

Dante himself was exiled from his hometown of Florence by a rival faction after years of civil conflict. His dislike of the lukewarm stemmed from those who sat on the sidelines and did nothing while his sentence was handed down — those who let injustice slide and were more concerned with protecting their own lot in life.

Dante doesn't even give them the courtesy of mentioning them by name in his Inferno. The "uncommitted" are all nameless.

His warning to the spineless is thus:

Stand for nothing, and nothing is what you'll become.

El Topo Mayor de México denunció que una persona de un canal de televisión local presuntamente intentó indicarle qué debía decir frente a las cámaras y que agradeciera a la presidenta.

🗣️ "Tengo 80 años y no me vas a venir a decir qué decir. No eres mi jefa. Yo no soy político, soy rescatista", afirmó.

El rescatista aseguró que su única misión es salvar vidas y rechazó cualquier intento de politizar las labores de rescate.

‼️Es indignante que, en medio de una tragedia de esta magnitud, surjan denuncias sobre un presunto intento de utilizar a rescatistas con fines propagandísticos.

Cuando las redes sociales y el uso de Inteligencia Artificial exponen la ineptitud de las autoridades, el cinismo institucional o los pactos oscuros, el oficialismo tiembla. Ahora, Claudia se va contra las redes porque no las pueden controlar.

Las plataformas digitales son hoy el único megáfono que le queda a la ciudadanía independiente. Darle a cualquier gobierno el monopolio de decidir qué es "verdad" y qué es "manipulación" es abrirle la puerta al autoritarismo digital. Si el poder político se convierte en el árbitro de internet.
