A Nigerian citizen living in Ghana praised the Electricity Company of Ghana for their quick and efficient response in repairing a damaged transformer within a short time, without asking for any contributions from the local community.
He also criticized the power providers in his home country, highlighting how they often send town criers to request money from residents before carrying out repairs, and even then, the work is not promptly done.

Dear Shatta Wale, since you left the TGMA awards scheme almost a decade ago, you have remained Shatta Wale, and your brand has continued to grow stronger. Your influence and visibility keep rising every day.
Everything suggests that you are bigger than the TGMA. They may need you, but you do not need them.
If you are invited to perform under a good arrangement, that is understandable. However, returning fully into the scheme is not something we support.
The Shatta Movement respectfully rejects that idea.
The Attorney-General is vigorously defending the government’s position in Former Chief Justice Torkonoo’s action at the ECOWAS Court.

A 100-year-old man has made a heartfelt appeal to President John Dramani Mahama, wishing to meet and shake his hand on his 101st birthday, February 7, 2026, to personally express his gratitude and offer blessings for his work to uplift Ghana.
As 2026 begins, several cases are before the courts. The hearing dates listed here mark the next steps in those proceedings, and we will continue to share updates as they progress.
I expressed particular appreciation for the work being done under the leadership of Hon. George Opare Addo, and encouraged the Ministry to strengthen impact tracking and measurement, so that outcomes can be clearly assessed and improved over time. I also highlighted the need to focus on growing Ghana’s economy in a way that expands the national pie, rather than only debating percentages, because sustainable youth development depends on stronger national productivity and increased fiscal space.
On the issue of drug and substance abuse, we need a more deliberate national approach, including confronting how these substances enter our country, alongside rigorous public education on the devastating consequences of drug abuse.
I reaffirmed my commitment to supporting the Ministry and encouraged all staff and stakeholders to work together with mutual respect. Every contribution matters, and every role is important, as we pursue a future where Ghana’s young people are not only supported but fully positioned to thrive.
I organized and paid for all commuters this evening headed to Lapaz from Okponglo and also Shiahie to Madina. This is a short term measure and I am working on a longer solution. Thanks so much Metro Mass!!! #idey4u
