@richimedhurst This is also how he feels when a woman tells him no, as if he can do what he wants without consequence.
I don't know that he'll ever be held accountable in this lifetime, but I hold onto the hope that the afterlife serves him everything he deserves.
@richimedhurst Not sure what an American Patriot is -- they certainly don't speak for me. More gaslighting from the abusive regime.
Going back to 1776, the Declaration of Independence --> I believe in LIFE, liberty, and justice for ALL. This means no one lives in fear or oppression.
@richimedhurst They are building major detention centers here, including at least one slated for "involuntary work" (aka sIave labor) and they're including bio-waste incinerators in these plans, while increasing their budgets for war, jails, police, ice, etc.
@richimedhurst It feels impossible. There's nowhere you can go to escape the US.
As an unhoused mom here in the US, watching firsthand as they slash funds for social programs like food, education, healthcare, & shelter -- then criminalize sleeping unsheltered even when no shelter is available
@richimedhurst As an American who protests, boycotts, and begs my government to stop attacking other countries -- I want the world to know that there are countless Americans alongside me who refuse to accept this violence as normal, and more and more people are joining us everyday.
@richimedhurst Terrible! And, trying to disguise their atrocities under the guise of a fight against drugs instead of saying what it is: a quest for oil and global intimidation tactic.
As a homeless American, watching the budget go to death instead of helping people is especially sickening!!
@Glitchymagic@CNN There's nothing at all complex about the fact that the government has NO business involving itself in anyone's personal medical choices.
It is not a complicated issue; Transgender people have existed for millennia - including from ancient Sumeria (5000 BCE), Rome, and others!
@ahouse4all I agree that shows someone isn't a good person, but it's definitely not subtle! It is not talked about enough.
My firsthand experience as a homeless mom has taught me that so many people treat you like you are trash when you do not have a place to live, and it's ๐๐๐.
@richimedhurst Similar to what's happening in the United States right now. We're watching inhumane deportations of people, including US citizens, to other countries. As with most of what these global villains are doing, I guess there's money in this. ๐
@PegBootleg@richimedhurst Seen the scene many times... Guess I had never considered it would become reality (or that it already was?). I have lots to learn.
@Elgener1933@richimedhurst As an American trying to wake people up to what's happening, I think a lot of people here are blinded by their privilege. ๐
To breakdown what we are facing even further, our democracy has been turned into a fascist authoritarian oligarchy, plutocracy, and kleptocracy. ๐โ ๏ธ๐ซ
@heartland_grump@SenWarren The function of government in modern societies is to promote the welfare and well-being of its citizens, so I'm not sure why you'd say the exact opposite. Do you know how much the US spends on war and corporate subsidies?
@MammaMia1095@GovWesMoore You think 680,000 people are defrauding the food bank program? That's delusional.
I run a nonprofit; Our biggest client group is white Americans who are underpaid by greedy corporations.
The average worker pays $36/year to food stamps but $ HUNDREDS/year to corporate subsidies.
@BrandonLBradfor @IsaiahB_Rodgers https://t.co/RoJ5DnXjpZ for the nonprofit
https://t.co/onTK9vBNei for my blog about living unhoused with two chronically sick kids
@BrandonLBradfor @IsaiahB_Rodgers As someone who has been homeless + runs a nonprofit for people in need, I speak firsthand on the barriers to becoming rehoused.
My biggest barrier: a credit score that's not high enough (& feels impossible to overcome).
Another barrier is a lack of affordable housing options.
@stowZJE@BrandonLBradfor We are over the five year mark living this scenario. The amount of people in need far exceeds the available resources. And it's about to get worse - a lot of funding, programs, and jobs have been cut from HUD, food banks, etc.
