Beautiful Hunan 丨On a crisp autumn morning along Dongjiang Lake in Chukou Town, Zixing, Chenzhou, the hills are ablaze with golden, translucent mandarins, their sweet scent drifting on the air. Bamboo baskets brim with heavy fruit, and the whole lakeshore is perfumed with golden citrus. Down at the old dock, life is bustling and joyful—together composing a plain but deeply touching scene of autumn abundance.（摄影：徐金平）

One bridge soars across Dehang Grand Canyon, hanging 355 meters in the air! This is Xiangxi’s Aizhai Bridge—known as the Everest of bridge engineering. A natural stronghold that once blocked the way has become a smooth, open road.
This is the landscape of Xiangxi—and, above all, Chinese infrastructure that leaves the world in awe.

Ready, set, stilt! Athletes raced down a rain-soaked track on stilts in #Zhangjiajie, Hunan province, on Oct 20. With their feet 30 to 35 cm above the ground, they leaned forward and drove the poles toward the finish line. Once used by Miao and Tujia ethnic people to cross flooded ground, stilt racing became an official event at China's national ethnic games in 2003. #Hunan #China

This is “Aoyu Soars” at Tangmo Ancient Village in Huangshan, Anhui. Every night (except Mondays), a giant illuminated Aoyu — a mythical creature with a dragon’s head and a fish’s body — rises above the rooftops, surrounded by drums and glowing fish lanterns below.
