@nemothe2nd@iEnzo__ You have to take account of future variants. e.g. perhaps all other red parts except the cockpit will be omitted in its successor. It’d be awkward for that future kit to have a red runner dedicated to the cockpit only.
@nemothe2nd Realistically this may just increase colour separation on HGs a little bit (e.g. clear parts for the eyes may become the norm) and will be insignificant for larger kits with many runners. However, it should improve productivity of smaller kits significantly.
@nemothe2nd 6 colours used to need two runners / two machines. Now one’s enough. That means better colour separation can be achieved without driving up production costs that much.
@mochimarohamu@SandyofCthulhu New concepts can be made into 和製漢語. For example foreign concepts like 「民主, 共產, 共和」were translated into kanji first by the Japanese, then we Chinese borrowed them. Newer concepts were adapted phonetically into katakana, which I think isn’t cool.
@apollonllon112@SandyofCthulhu It takes time but not that much longer because fewer words are needed overall. Also if you read and write hanzi everyday it becomes natural. We don’t need to convert hiragana to kanji in our minds first either.
@KingChick0 Doubt Hitogami’s advice, not his threats. Also if your family is held hostage would you be able to keep your head cool and ignore what the kidnappers want?
@kriegvar1097 Orb on the movement of the Earth, scenes of Awajima and Gundam Hathaway all came out recently. Plenty of good stuff if you’re willing to explore beyond Western anime fandom, which is mostly post-COVID shounentards these days.
@migurd_greyrat Around that. It’s mentioned in novel he’s 25 when he entered the academy one year before Rudeus did / two years before Norn. Norn is mentioned to be in third year lately so Zanoba is 25+3+2=30 years old now
@Kronkyland@CoachSaysGoLeft I think appealing to those who’d pay for extras and pissing off Western tourists is a good idea actually. The show is for Gundam fans who’s been there for decades fully embracing the otaku culture it generated, or those who’re new but know how to respect this culture.
@CoachSaysGoLeft It was in the show. The way GQX was written was to shorten screen time through hiding details for audiences to find and complete the story themselves. Japanese fandom knew this detail well because otakus did the job but Western fandom missed those being too occupied to hate.
@oji_newtype That said I don’t think characters need to be captivating for a story to be enjoyable. Sometimes stories can be written like a news article or a simple diary and still be great. e.g. Scenes of Awajima from last anime season
@oji_newtype On the contrary I found Hathaway the most relatable MC. Maybe because I’ve been on the streets for months protesting against CCP and failed. Tomino wrote Hathaway after witnessing the failure of Zenkyoto in Japan. It’s only ‘relatable’ if you have similar experience.
