With schools starting, now’s the time to apply for free or reduced-priced meals for your kids. Check your school’s website for more info. You need to reapply for the new school year even if you’ve qualified before. Remember: In Minnesota, all reduced-priced meals are also free!

Minnesota rural school districts were also successful in their meal distribution while schools were closed, despite having a high number of Covid-19 cases reported. Since March 18th, St. James School District served 50,155 meals and Sleepy Eye District served 49,467 meals!

Schools are transitioning from summer to the school year, so many families need to apply to qualify for free and reduced-price meals. See your school website for information on the application process!
