Unfortunately we have been unsuccessful in our #artscouncil application despite there being no specific improvements we could have made.
You can help!

Whilst this is a huge set back for us, we take solace in our incredible supporters cheering us on. Thank you to everybody for helping so far!
If you could donate even £5, you will be helping us. Never believe you can't make a difference! @HelpSheffield#supportbritish#theatre
Just over a day to get those tapes in…
Deborah is a fascinating character who would be an exciting challenge to any age appropriate actress. Deadline is midnight on NYE. If we want to see more of you will be contacted on NYD!

We are very proud to announce that our creators have now established their own theatre company! Please give Black Bright Theatre a follow to see what they have in store. 💡 #theatre
This is the official twitter for Black Bright Theatre. We are a new theatre company producing distinctly dark, female-led stories. Sparked in Sheffield, 2021. 💡
Thank you @ExposedMagSheff for showing an interest in our show. We can't wait to launch our brand new theatre company across social media very soon! Until then, see what our creators @_MadeleineF and @HelenDenning_ have to say about it...
Black Bright Theatre is a new Sheffield theatre company producing dark, female-led writing (see: @Hunger_Theatre). We spoke to writer/artistic director Madeleine and company manager/producer Helen about the processes behind creating live theatre. 🎭

🚨ATTENTION THEATRE WORLD 🚨
I’m a producer looking for any funding I can get for a tour around northern England!
‘Kitchen sink drama meets post apocalyptic horror’ play.
Female written, directed, acted, and produced!
Sold out initial 3 night run at @DINAvenue 🎭
While planning for the future, we’ve found ourselves reminiscing!
In July we spoke to @indie_pendent about the many obstacles the team had to overcome in order to put the production on. These included zoom rehearsals and a core team member isolation!

Thankyou to @indie_pendent for this thoughtful review.
Shout outs were given to @_MadeleineF for her writing style which "digs under your skin", @SusieMay27 and Ellen Trevaskiss for their "exceptional chemistry", and @jpayneld who "has outdone himself" with his design work.🐷
"Both profound and devastating, The Hunger suggests that those you hold dearest may be the most dangerous."

Things we've learned since 29 June 1613.
– Using cannons to create special effects is a no-go
– A thatched timber theatre is v. flammable
– A tiled roof may be a more sensible option for theatre 2.0
– If your breeches catch fire, they can be extinguished with a bottle of ale
@AnneliePowell Remember that hard work kindness courtesy respect & professionalism are as important as talent. Be the best version of YOU and don't compare yourself to others and remember it's ok to step back and reassess/cherish yourself to go forward with fresh perspective & experience
If you’d like to continue to support us, we will be hosting a Wrap Party at The Washington tomorrow evening from 2-6pm. We would love to see as many friendly faces there as possible!
