Men often know they were predatory before their disoriented victims do. I texted the man that nearly strangled me to death the next day asking wtf happened hoping it was some kind of misunderstanding meanwhile he’d already started a smear campaign to protect his image.
@LuxHippie Agreed. And in my experience children trigger the fuck out of their parents. If they haven’t put in some serious work (or are willing to do so) it’s a shit show.
@lincoln3_ My genuine belief is the tide will not turn until we have something that stops transmission and then all of a sudden everyone will be mad they were lied to. In the meantime I’ll still be wearing my little mask because I can read.
I’d love for people with these views to just read a handful of peer reviewed studies on covid before they speak. Being covid conscious is a scientifically sound position to hold. Willful ignorance on this matter just reads as massive cope / inability to trust one’s own intellect
I do feel bad for the covid-conscious people. Every major health authority said for years “there’s a massive pandemic that’s killing/disabling millions; do not leave the house,” then pretty quickly flipped to “eh nevermind lol.” Reasonable to go a bit insane processing that
@acidshill I think it’s because heterosexual women tend to have the oddest ideas of loyalty. Like thinking following a hot woman is cheating. I explicitly remember friends saying they don’t want double the competition.
@bringumybullets Had a work friend once that kind of just didn’t believe I wasn’t interested? Telling him the thought of him made my vagina dry up like a desert and that he filled it with literal tumbleweeds seemed to work tho.
@CovidSolidarit1 Even when they’re symptomatically sick they always seem to have some reason they believe it couldn’t be Covid (without ever testing) so even if they believe some of the information I’ve given them - they live in lala land where it’s not a concern for them.
@sharonvape Avoidant open to growth and change > anxiously attached perpetual victim who doesn’t realize their need for growth (and that’s a lot of them I’m sorry) There’s nuance. And I do think emotionally avoidant people are more demonized unfairly. 🤷🏻♀️
@mushiefairie Wish I could say you’re wrong but I’ve definitely gotten the shit kicked out of me a few times by people I knew after sharing things my ex did to me. (Didn’t even name him) Can’t imagine how bad it would be with rando internet people. 😔 take care of yourself first. ❤️
@Notora07@mushiefairie Like over a decade I think. Longtime follower on insta - people are just ignorant and making assumptions in these comments but I’m sure the issues were there for a while but we don’t know.
@CovidSolidarit1 Fear of looking stupid. People are not emotionally developed to be confident in themselves/their intellect enough to actively go against the status quo/resist propaganda. And the way the left treats anyone that steps out of their status quo like they’re just too stupid to get it
@MarthaAhumuza I confronted my body dysmorphia when I was heavier and worked through it. Ironically was able to lose some weight after that and it still fucks me up how much better I’m treated without the dysmorphia in play. Real mindfuck.
@hutchleah I just hold a lot of compassion for the people that aren’t there yet. That think if it’s not on the news or coming out of a politician’s mouth they respect it would make them look crazy to believe it.
@hutchleah I just remind myself how scared shitless I used to be of looking stupid because “the experts” were smarter than me. It took me a long time to like/trust myself enough to admit what “the experts” had to say didn’t really make sense. I just lean into feeling lucky that I trust me.
@cyster05 As much as it sucks it seems like being relentless sometimes can get through to people that pride themselves on intellect. Big thumbs up for pressing because it’s hard to want to when you see how badly they want you to stop.
