Lucy, spreading this kind of disinformation is genuinely dangerous.
It’s a matter of public record that Keir Starmer wasn’t the reviewing lawyer on those specific grooming gang cases (such as Rochdale).
As Director of Public Prosecutions he was in charge of the CPS, but he didn’t personally decide on every individual case.
In fact, during his time as DPP from 2008 to 2013, he made major changes to how the CPS handles sexual violence and child abuse.
He introduced the first ever national guidelines on prosecuting child sexual abuse in 2013 , described at the time as the biggest shift in a generation.
Prosecutors were told to focus on the credibility of the allegation itself, rather than whether the victim was a “perfect witness”.
This directly helped overcome the myths that had been failing victims for years.
He also moved to a more victim-centred approach, reopened dropped cases, and by the time he left the CPS had record numbers of child sex abuse prosecutions.
He appointed Nazir Afzal, who overturned some of the earlier failed decisions in Rochdale.
Rather than repeating debunked claims, it would be better to look at the actual reforms he brought in to better protect victims.
Facts matter, even when they don’t fit someone’s narrative.
This is actually insane.
Starmer is alienating people and countries that should be our allies.
I would seriously consider moving to Poland, it’s become a very safe country and I like the polish people. They are generally kind, warm and very family oriented.
We should be seriously ashamed of what this country has become.
