@taliaotg Yeah that was not great, it was like one local person that had to start screaming “NO TUNNELS, I AM NOT DOING THAT SHIT AGAIN” to get the revcom/younger crowd to get the point.
Back at City Hall in DTLA for day four of the anti deportation protests. The crowds in the hundreds right now listening to speakers. Not sure if they’re marching tonight or not.
The protesters went back to city, they had a dance party for awhile before the LAPD came in and told them to clear the streets. Now the cops are at both ends of the street in a vague stare down with the remaining protesters.
@taliaotg Yeah I’m not with them, they just ran the show today. They also almost marched people into a tunnel tonight. Then the locals kinda stole the action back later.
So I tried to head out and the LAPD randomly rolled up on this small group of protesters giving them a dispersal order and yelling at them for using amplified sound.
n the scene now with the anti deportation protests happening now at Aliso/main in DTLA. There’s prolly 1-2 thousand out blocking traffic while LAPD in riot gear wait near by.
Protesters moved again to where a group of about a 100 protesters were kettled by the LAPD. Lots of chants of “let them go!” Right now. Not too many left not detained but the protesters don’t wanna call it quits yet.
When Adas Torah Synagogue in Pico-Robertson was set to host an event that advertised itself as selling property in Israel — including potentially some in illegal settlements in Palestinian territories — dozens showed up to protest.
